We All Belong
We All Belong
People who believe in community inclusion have been saying it for years, and now evidence from a recent legislative study and a clear policy statement by Governor Gregoire should leave no doubt: Children and adults with developmental disabilities belong in our communities, neighborhoods and schools.
In her 2009 policy brief, “Reforming How We Are for Washingtonians with Developmental Disabilities”, Governor Gregoire affirms her support for community living.
We All Belong is our commitment to Governor Gregoire’s policy statement and our support of our Legislators to implement this key vision.
Over the next few weeks we will roll out details already proposed in the Governor’s budget to build up community services and move people from the state DD facilities.
