Homeless individuals coming in from the cold for a warm breakfast. Chilled to the bone, red noses, blue fingers. That's how it began in 2008. That's all it took for a couple of individuals working at Trinity Lutheran Church's Saturday morning community breakfast to take action.
Today, more than 1,000 bed-nights are provided for over 80 individuals living in or around the Lynnwood/Edmonds area. Each guest is provided a hot dinner, mattress and blanket, a warm smile, and morning breakfast, any night the temperatures drops below 34 degrees.
We are staffed by volunteers that have a heart for those who suffer and have a special concern for the plight of the homeless. Volunteers come from all walks of life, cultures and economic levels, but their compassion is the binding glue that now has over 150 people involved.
