We provide overnight shelter to homeless individuals on cold nights. From generally November through March, whenever the temperature is predicted to fall below 35 we open the shelter. All our measurements come from accuweather.com for Lynnwood, WA.

How Do I Find Out if You Are Going to Be Open

Look on this web site, opening of the shelter for that day is posted by 10:00 AM or call the shelter hotline at 206-743-9843.

Where Do I Go?

A white Ford van is used to pick up people needing shelter at Lynnwood City Hall at 19100 44th Ave W in Lynnwood at 7:00PM. A second stop is made at the westbound bus stop on 196th at James Village at 7:05PM. We also pick up at the Value Village SIGN on Hwy 99 and 172nd at 7:35PM. On Fridays when we are open, we also pick up from Maplewood Presbyterian Church, 19523 196th, Lynnwood at 7:15PM.

Can I Go Straight to the Shelter?

Yes, guests may arrive by commercial or personal vehicle. Guests arriving by bicycle may lock their bike up outside at owner’s risk; no bikes in the shelter! Please note we do not allow guests to arrive on foot.

Do You Have any Food?

Yes. We serve a hot dinner and breakfast.

Do I Have to be Sober/Free of Drugs?

No; all are welcome. We expect guests who are under the influence of drugs or alcohol to be able to follow instructions and get along with others in order to enter and use the shelter overnight.

Can I Smoke at the Shelter?

Yes. There are smoke breaks throughout the night.

Can I Bring Alcohol or Drugs into the Shelter?

NO alcohol, drug paraphernalia or non-prescription mood altering drugs are allowed. All guests are searched prior to entering and if found with these items, they will be denied access for the night.

Do I have to sign an agreement prior to entry?

Yes. All guests must sign an agreement that describes expected behavior while in the shelter. The agreement can be viewed here.
