We Need Passionate People
Assistant Team Leads
Are you a person that loves to make things happen and be in charge? You are in luck! Our Assistant Team Lead program provides all the training and support you need to be effective. We have opportunities for morning and evening assistant team leads. You will be needed no more than 7 times between November and April. Commitment is just 2-3 hours per instance (6:30pm to 9:30pm for evening assignments and 5:30am to 7:30am for morning assignments). What could be easier? As a new Assistant Team Lead you will be assigned to a team to help the Team Lead. You will learn the ropes and get hands-on experience. You will also have access to the Program Director 24/7 for any questions or concerns! After gaining competence in this role, there may be opportunities to assume the role of Team Lead in the future. Compassionate Volunteers
We are seeking people who are passionate about issues surrounding homelessness. Homelessness in the US is on the rise and we do not believe it is going to change anytime soon. In the meantime, it is up to individuals to make a difference. While one person may not fix homelessness, just impacting a single life in a positive manner is a wonderful outcome. Never think your contribution is too small to matter.
Volunteering can be as simple as contributing your time only 5 or 6 mornings or evenings over the course of the entire shelter season. It could be in a leadership position helping us set direction and growing the mission. The choice is yours.
- Evening Volunteer- help with making dinner, setting up the shelter, welcoming guests, cleaning up, food shopping, etc.
- Morning Volunteer- help with making breakfast, putting away supplies, cleaning up, food shopping, etc.
- Driver- pick up and deliver guests from designated pick up locations using our 14-passenger van (regular driver's license works just fine)
